At Least She Is Honest

Picking up Cassidy from the bus stop today, our conversation went like this:

Me: What happened to your bobby pin? (when she left the house she had a cute decorative bobby pin in her hair)

Cassidy: Oh, I lost it and so I had to start crying so I could get some attention and people would help me find it.

Me: You started crying in your class?

Cassidy: No, I started crying at recess. Everyone asked why I was crying and I told them I needed help finding my bobby pin.

Me: So what did they say?

Cassidy: Everybody helped me look for it. Luckily, Ryson found it for me.

Me: Maybe next time you can just ask for help instead of crying to get attention.

Key words in this conversation: "I started crying to get some attention"

I can just picture all these kids spending their recess looking for a bobby pin because Cassidy can make herself cry on a moments notice. I guess at least she is honest about how she gets attention.....

Note to self: Cassidy crys just to get attention. hahaha

What a GIRL! She is so funny. No one but Cassidy would be that creative. Turning on the waterworks. I should try that with Jeremy maybe I can get a new laptop out of it.

I'm going to teach my girls this little trick. I can't tell you how many bobby pins, flowers, bows, shoes, jackets, etc., etc., we've lost in the past 5 years. Maybe if they would just enlist some help, we'd have it all back!!! I think that's hilarious. I just asked Riley and Caitlin if Cassidy cried at school yesterday, and they told me the whole story. To them it was a very serious matter. They were so glad Cassidy found her bobby pin! :)
