Home Sweet Home

It has been about a week and we are all settled into our new home. Most might think I am crazy, but it is actually pretty fun living in the travel trailer. I feel like I am camping all the time and there is not much cleaning to do. It does make me plan ahead a little better as far as getting the kids school clothes and backpacks ready the night before, but I think that is a good thing. Actually, it is much more relaxing then driving back and forth between two houses. Previously, we spent all our time at the construction site with no amenities then would drive home (usually after dark) and try to do chores and homework. Now we can take care of everything in one place as well as supervise the construction and work on the house. If you look closely you can see that this little kitty stole a $5 bill off the desk. I wish I could have grabbed my camera in time to get a shot of him walking with it in his mouth. We do have great entertainment here!
This is the cool chair I bought at the antique store in town. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but it has great colors in it, is in great shape and best of all I only paid 85 bucks for it! Don't you think it goes great in our family room.....especially with the rustic concrete floor.
Harrison was really excited to get a birthday present from our friends the Knudson's in Maryland. I have not sent out our new address yet and all of our mail is forwarded right now so it takes a really long time to get to us. This package in particular was mailed on August 18 and we did not get it until September 2nd. I guess I must remember that we live in the boondocks!

Harrison LOVES games, so he was really excited to get this. Thanks Knudson family!!!!
This is our family room. I moved everything around so the storage is in one side of the garage and our "family room" is on the other side. Our dressers are in here just behind the couch, so we have pretty much everything we need in here. The kitchen and bedrooms are in the trailer and it works perfect!

You're such a fun mom! I bet the kids don't mind the trailer at all since you have everything set up so handily! I can't wait to get out there and see it all. :)
