Taylor Rodeo

The drill went great! The grandstands were packed....I wish I had a picture of it! The only grandstands you see in these pics are the portable ones they brought in for overflow seating. It is estimated that approx. 12,000 were in attendance. This is how the rodeo is every year because it is a great place to visit on the 4th of July, so there are a lot of out of town visitors. The Town of Taylor only has about 4,000 people and the population of Snowflake is about 5,000. We saw several friends from Queen Creek we did not expect, including our previous next door neighbor Jordan and Shantay. We had Kim (Jeff's sister)and Mickey with their two girls staying with us for the weekend as well as Brenda (Jeff's sister) and Allen and their two boys staying with us on Friday night.

The pictures of the drill turned out really dark and not very clear because Jeff was taking them from the grandstands and I don't have a very good digital camera. But you can kind of get an idea how cool it is with all the flags. There are 12 ladies on our team and I am riding the Buckskin (light colored horse with black mane and tail). The weather could not have been better with the temperature in the low 70's. Check out the sun set too!

Hey girl, you did an outstanding job in the drill! You are such a good cowgirl and such a phenomenal person! I am really enjoying having you on the team and as a friend. When things calm down we really need to take off for a girls lunch! Your pics. are great. Check out my site and our drill site for a couple more.
