Memorial Day

While others were enjoying Memorial Day picnics and swimming, we were busy working on our electrical line. We trenched and piped 1300 feet. We couldn't have done it ourselves.....our friends Jeremy and Jeff Brimhall helped with the project! Heather and Ryan were also a HUGE help by letting Cassidy and Harrison spend the night and play at their house all day while we worked so we could get an early start (5am). The really fun part of the day came when Jeff and I ran to Bashas to grab some food for lunch. There was someone there giving away 2 free kittens. They were both sooooo cute. We told them we couldn't take them then, but if they didn't give them away, we would take them that evening. So, on our way home from the property after we picked up the kids, we told them we had to make a quick stop. Next thing Cassidy knew, I was walking out of someones house with two little kittens. I could hear her scream from outside the truck!! The kittens have settled in nicely and even get along great with the dogs. Cassidy can't go to sleep now without them, but after she falls asleep I put them outside with the dogs.

The kitten in the picture below is named creamcicle because his white belly is wrapped with orange. The other kitten is named Garfield and he doesn't have any white markings...just tiger stripes. They are both very cute and personable.

I love little kittens. Too bad Jeremy is allergic we would have one otherwise. Looks like they love Cassidy just as much as she loves them.
