Mormon Idol

I had to share this funny story....

Last week, Jeff was flipping through channels and stopped for a couple seconds on American Idol. Well, it was long enough for Cassidy to get hooked. She made him leave it on that channel for the entire show (which is probably a record for him). At church on Sunday there was a very beautiful musical number and at the end Cassidy said (a little too loud, of course) "Thumbs up....your going to Hollywood!" I heard a few chuckles around me and thought to myself that I wished I had a little book of all the funny things Cassidy has said (a little too loud) or done in church.

The only other one I can remember right now happened a couple months ago. We were sitting in the back of the chapel in the hard fold-up chairs. I am not sure exactly what she was doing, because of course I was trying to concentrate on listing to the speakers, but she must have been goofing around because she somehow fell into the row behind us. I can't really explain what exactly happened, but it looked so funny. She was fine, just a little embarassed, but I could not stop laughing. It just looked so funny. The family behind us looked very concerned and they must have thought how strange it was to see me laughing. But I could not get that image out of my head. I asked her if she was o.k., but I could hardly get the words out without laughing. Maybe Cassidy and I are two peas in a pod. Jeff and Harrison will probably be the ones writing a book about how they survived us......... :)
