Brrrrrrrrrr

What you see here is the water troughs I have in my horse stalls. I never thought I would be breaking ice morning and night since I moved from Utah. This only happens a few times during the winter here depending on the weather, but it seems like once a cold front moves in, it will last about a week or so. Most of the time, there is just a thin layer of ice or no ice at all. I always think of my family living in Wyoming and wonder how they survive the cold. It is MUCH colder there for sure! I always hear Uncle LaVar talking about going ice fishing in Wyoming and have thought that I would be too nervous to go out on the frozen lake. Now after seeing how thick this ice freezes with our temperatures, I can see how he would be able to go out on a frozen lake, drill a hole and fish without much fear of falling through the ice. Maybe one winter I will brave the Wyoming cold just so I can say I have been ice fishing with him! :)
