One of the reasons I look forward to spring is because it signals the start of City League Volleyball. I played on a new team this year and Jeff's company, Community Counseling Centers, was our sponsor. We had a super fun time playing with each other and saw a huge improvement in our team from when we first started playing together the beginning of March. I am hoping we can keep our team together next year.
I also play every Friday morning with a group of women. I have met a ton of friends this way and I always look forward to it. There are a LOT of GOOD volleyball players here. 
Sometimes, we have so many come that we have 2 games going at the same time. We generally play for 2-3 hours.
I love the fact that it is Moms playing. We have a nursery (Cassidy prefers to call it the "clubhouse") with a babysitter for the kids that are not in school yet. We also have Mom's with babies that stay along the sidelines and nap or watch us play.
This is the afternoon kindergarten group. They bring a sack lunch and at about 11:00 we take them out of the nursury/clubhouse and let them eat lunch together. Then we take turns carpooling them to school, which is about 3 blocks away.
So, not only are the Mom's making friends and memories playing volleyball on Friday mornings but the kids are too. Thanks Donna for inviting me to play volleyball....the sport I now LOVE!
