On Sunday afternoon, I headed down to the "valley" (a.k.a. Mesa & Gilbert) to attend my sister Lizzie's birthday party. It is not often that we are all able to get together. When we do, it is always so much FUN!
On Monday morning, I took care of some business pertaining to our rental property and that afternoon headed home. There was a horrible storm, but I really needed to get back.

The roads were really bad and I had my jeep in 4 wheel drive from Payson to Heber just to get through. Here are a few of the pictures I took from my jeep along the way.
I felt like I was driving up a small canyon road to go skiing. It really was hard to believe this was the main highway.

I felt like I was driving up a small canyon road to go skiing. It really was hard to believe this was the main highway.Needless to say, it took me an extra 1 1/2 hours to get home but I was sooo glad to make it. I heard later that the road was completely shut down a few hours after I went through.

I can't believe you had to drive through this! You are extremely brave! I hope everything went well with the renters.
