The Many Faces of Cassidy

I happened to be walking through my kitchen the other day with my camera and Cassidy said "Hey Mom, take my picture". These are the poses she gave me. I could not help but laugh after every picture. Then she would want to look at it and we would laugh again together. This girl is a natural "ham". She loves to crack people up. The other night at dinner, she said "Hey Harrison, I can make my face turn red". She then proceeded to hold her breath and push out her cheeks while her face turned red. It caught us all by surprise and we busted up laughing. Where does she come up with this stuff? Once you laugh, then she trys to do it again and again. We finally had to tell her to STOP making her face turn red and finish eating.
She also loves to watch American Idol and wants to be on the show. We miss it most of the time because we rarely have time to watch T.V., but last week, as we fast forwarded through the commericals, she would get up and give us a performance. At church a couple years ago, a lady got up to sing a special musical number. In the moments of quiet, after she had finished, Cassidy very loudly announced "Thumbs up, your goin' to Hollywood". Not only were we trying to suppress our laugh, but also several people around us were too. Recently she tried out for our towns production of "Annie". I was so proud of her because she had to get on stage and sing a solo. There were a lot of kids and parents in the audience plus the judges, but she did a great job. By the end of the tryout she was feeling very comfortable on stage. At the end of the short dance routine her group had to learn, she added her own twirl and a curtsy. I could not help but laugh out loud. It was so cute and I am not biased at all. :) Also at the tryout, another girl was on stage singing Do-Re-Mi. But in the middle of her song she lost track of where she was, so Cassidy yelled out "Fa", which was what should come next in the song. Cassidy knows this song well because she learned it in her music class a few months ago and sings it all the time. Again, I could not suppress my laugh. Now that the real practices have begun, she comes home singing and telling stories about her "orphan" friends.
Wow, how I love this little girl and sometimes I can't believe how blessed I am to have her in my life!

Oh she is a livin' doll! What a little sweetheart comic you have on your hands! I can't wait to see her perform in "Annie." I'm sure she'll steal the show! You are blessed and you are a fantastic mom-you deserve each other!
