Wyoming Welcome

I could not believe how this wood chuck stayed and watched me as I took his picture. I guess he did not feel threatened. I saw him several times sitting on this rock pile near where we camped during our Olson family reunion .

Dad, Uncle LaDell, and I visited Uncle Dick on Thursday morning. I had not seen him in a long time but it was fun to share memories from times past. Uncle Dick ran a Dude ranch in Jackson Hole for years and my Grandma Olson would always borrow a horse from him or his son Billy for me to use while I stayed with her. We reminisced about my favorite horse that I used several summers named Midnight. He was jet black. When my Mom asked me what his name was the first summer with him, I accidentally said it was "Nightmare". She immediately told me to get off the horse because she would not let me ride a horse named Nightmare. It took some convincing until she believed that his name was Midnight and I had just gotten the name mixed up!

Hey Laurie! I love all your pictures! That Barn is gorgeous!Missed you at the last "perfomance!" We aced my horse, and it was a disaster! We only gave her what the vet, told us. (she must be a light weight!)
She was a dud! No go at all! It was bad very bad! The girls said it wasn't as bad as I thought, but it was! I don't know which is worse high strung, or no go!! Well the fair is coming up so, call me if you want to come ride? I love your blog!
