Family Reunion

We arrived home from our family reunion this past Sunday after being on the road for 10 days living out of our travel trailer. We actually had two family reunions, one with my Moms family in Utah and the other with my Dads family in Wyoming. We traditionally have these every two years and it is always fun to get reaquainted with family members. This year was quite a sacrifice for us with the gas prices being so high. Currently diesel runs anywhere from $4.75 to $4.99 per gallon. I include this amount because I am printing these pages for a family journal and want to be able to look back at the various prices of gas. I only hope that in two years it is not $10 per gallon! We left on Friday, July 11, leaving behind six horses, three dogs and three cats for our neighbor to watch over. We drove to Provo and stayed at the Lakeside RV Park. We have stayed there before and really like it because it is clean, quiet, has shade trees, a pool and is located next to the Provo River. During the day on Saturday, we relaxed, went swimming, and let the kids ride their bikes and play at the playground. On Saturday night, the Utah "reunion" officially kicked off with a potluck dinner at a park. These are my Mom's brothers hanging out at the potluck on Saturday night.
Harrison had fun throwing the firecrackers that pop when they it the ground. Rather then playing on the playground with the other little girls, Cassidy was out collecting wood beetles. This entire cup was full by the end of the night and she tried to take it home with her!
