Proud Sister

This past June 8 was a night packed with fun and excitement. I spent the first part of the evening at my brother Michael's Police Academy Graduation. It was such an honor to be there and I was so proud of him to make it through such gruelling training. There were 47 graduates and several more that started the academy but were unable to make it through. The highlight of the evening was when the Exemplary Recruit Award was given. This award is extra special because the winner is voted by the other recruits. Michael won this award and his peers gave him a standing ovation as he received it. I must admit it brought tears to my eyes. Way to go Mike!! You will serve as an AWESOME Police Officer.

The second part of the evening I had been anticipating for several months and was not disappointed. Myself, Lizzie, Shelly and Billy attended the Keith Urban concert. It was a BLAST!! Not only do I love going to concerts, but I am a huge KU fan. This is the second time I have seen him in concert and it gets better every time. He is such a great musician and performer. And the company I was with was great too!

We really packed in the fun on June 8, and the evening couldn't have been better!
